Well hey there,

Very into:

Pilates and Yoga (obviously!), great cake, hot chocolate, rum truffles, horse riding, playing fetch with my dog, vintage murder mysteries, a good whodunit tv series.

I’m a Derbyshire, UK based Pilates and Yoga instructor, blogger and there’s lots more to come!

MY STORY

After school I worked in retail for a while before moving into the finance industry. By the time I was in my thirties my face was no longer able to pretend it was interested in the back to back meetings and corporate jargon. I’d always known that I would become an entrepreneur and work for myself, and in fact it became more and more inevitable as I was becoming unemployable by saying what I really thought!

I fell in love with Yoga again and retrained to become a Yoga teacher in 2018 and I’ve been in the wellness industry since then.

I actually came to Yoga because of the physical benefits, but Yoga is so much more than that – it changes you as a person - your outlook on life, and your ability to cope with life’s challenges. Yoga is an opportunity to disconnect from the fast pace of life, to be present in this time and space, and to reconnect with yourself - your body and your mind.

I owned a Yoga Studio for a few years, but I found that I was working far too many hours and the inevitable happened – I was burnt out and you can’t pour from an empty cup!

After I moved away from the Yoga Studio, I had time to reignite my passion for Pilates. I had a shoulder injury that required a steroid injection and physio exercises. Even though I found the physio exercises helped a little, it was only when I started incorporating more Pilates into my routine that I starting seeing a significant improvement to my recovery and saw an increase in my strength and range of movement again. So, this combined with seeing a lack of strength in my Yoga clients meant I wanted to be able to offer the power of Pilates to my clients too so I qualified to be able to teach Mat Pilates.

I feel grateful and privileged to be in the position to help people nurture their bodies and minds, increasing strength, flexibility, confidence and general mental health.

I’ve now taught thousands of hours of in person sessions, and helped thousands of clients with their physical and mental health.

I’ve had lots of requests from people who can’t get to my in person sessions for recorded on-demand sessions so they can practice with me from home. So - you can now practice with me at any time, from anywhere in the world!

I’m excited for you to join me and start experiencing the huge benefits of Pilates!

When I’m not working you’ll find me walking our crazy miniature poodle Bobby, reading vintage murder mysteries, baking (and eating the cake!), or drinking hot chocolate.
